UNPFII

In the UNPFII, The Permanent Forum is an advisory body to the Economic and Social Council with a Mandate to discuss indigenous issues related to most of the economic development and social development, culture, the environment, education, and heath and human rights makes the Permanent Forum what it is.

According to its mandate, the Permanent Forum will provide a lot of expert advise and a lot of recommendations on indigenous issues to the Council. As we as to programs, agencies and funds of the United Nations, through the Council. It also will raise Awareness and promote the integration and coordination of activities related to indigenous issues within all of the Un system. And the mandate will also prepare and disseminate information on  indigenous issues.

Indigenous populations and other Indigenous peoples in the working groups felt that the structures of the United Nations were not well-suited to consider issues of concern to indigenous peoples comprehensively. In addition, all of them felt that the participation of indigenous representatives in the in the United Nations was limited. In Bright and light concerns, the Indigenous peoples and others proposed establishing a new body  that will focus on global and economic issues related to all of these aboriginal people.

The Main issue that is produced through these people are dealing with the fact that their ways of life and society are being taken from them in a very short time. Indigenous people feel like their culture and life style is being taken away from them. And they are no longer able to participate in their special culture activities and things. I think that they should be free to have a point, but I also think that they should adapt to different cultures that are important around them. Maintaining a culture is extremely important but i think they should  at least adapt to other important cultures.

The UNPFII, The United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous issues, theme is Partnership for Action and Dignity", The program is an advantage for the indigenous people to have. The UNPFII allows them to organize and keep their culture traditions. It also helps in keeping all of the Indigenous people aware of their present situations. This is a good thing because, Everybody can step up to the plate and speak, so they can have their own opinion and input from what the heard.
